Thera Group Started in 2005.

In 2003, Thera Trust said that it was getting too big for people with a learning disability to be involved. It decided to make small local companies so that people could still have their voice heard.

Thera North started supporting people in April 2005. It started supporting 9 people in Workington in Cumbria. Thera North was used as a pilot project so that Thera could learn about running a group of companies.

Thera East Midlands and Thera East Anglia started supporting people in January 2006. They started supporting people who had been supported before by Thera Trust.

Thera West and Thera (Scotland) have been set up in 2007 to help Thera work in new places.

The Thera Group means that Thera can support people with a learning disability in different ways. The Quality Company was set up in 2007 to employ people with a learning disability to check the quality of support. dosh was set up in 2007 to provide support to people with a learning disability with their money.
