Employer Engagement

We work with employers to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces and to promote the business case for employing people with a learning disability. This ensures that people with a learning disability face fewer barriers to securing new jobs and developing their careers.

What we can offer you

If you’re an employer, we can help you develop inclusive recruitment and employment policies and procedures, establish Disability Champions within your organisation, and become an accredited Disability Confident employer. We also run quarterly disability awareness training for employers.

Influencing policy and practice

We want to change the way in which employers think about their workforce. We’re looking to influence policy and practice by working with with the Department of Work and Pensions and the Department of Education on a range of policies and strategies in order to remove some of the barriers faced by people with a learning disability.

As an expert in the field, we plan to continue sharing our learning and insights, so that people with a learning disability are able to access employment and training opportunities and be fully included in society. This includes taking part in both Central and Local Government consultations, providing evidence to influence policy, and sharing clear social impact data about our successful model of employment support.
