Imogen has worked for Thera East Midlands for 5 and a half years and is now a Team-Coordinator. She wanted to share a diary of her experience during 2020 with Thera East Midlands.
On the 2 of February 2020 Thera East Midlands promoted me to Senior Support Worker.
Then, on the 5 of February 2020 I was also promoted to Acting up Team Co- Ordinator! This was in order to help my Community Support Leader at the time, implement some new opportunities.
My CSL, my Project Manager and I all worked together to help a young lady move into her own home and build up a new support team. The lady moved into her home in March and then of course COVID-19 hit us and put us into lockdown! This was a very challenging time and a new situation to everyone. Although it came with its challenges, it was also very rewarding working with the people we support!
In July 2020 I completed My NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care. I then also met my soon-to-be Community Support Leader and Team Coordinator. In August I started to work with my new Community Support Leader and my acting up role got extended. I did all my interviews and in October was promoted to Team Co-ordinator! The position comes with its own challenges and there is so much to learn, but I have all the support I could possibly need and more! Thera have so much training available to help with anything and everything you want to learn and if they don’t have the training, they will help you find the training you want.
I love Thera’s values and I look forward to learning everything I can to work my way up the company. The possibilities in this company are endless and I am so happy to be a part of Thera East Midlands.
