What Training Can Thera Offer Me?

Whether you are new to social care or not, we are able to offer you training to help you feel more comfortable in your role, and to progress in Thera. Thera Employees can use our Learning Pod. The Learning Pod gives you access to our training catalogue, your learning record, and required learning lists.
As well as the Learning Pod, we also offer Diplomas in Health and Social care that we fund through the apprenticeship levy. These Diplomas give you the opportunity to gain new skills whilst being in work. The skills you learn on the courses can help you advance in your social care career.

What is Skills for Care, and What Does it Mean for the Training I Will get From Thera?

The training you will receive from Thera is Skills for Care endorsed. As an independent charity, Skills for Care aims to make sure that health and social care training meets high standards. Our training is rigorously tested to make sure that we are providing you with the highest quality of teaching possible.

Can I Progress Within Thera?

There are many opportunities to advance within Thera. Many of our Team Coordinators, Community Support Leaders, and Operational Managers were Support Workers with us. We invest in your skills and provide training to support you to take the next steps in your career with us.
Leah started working as a Support Worker with Thera South West in 2004. Since then, she has progressed to become a Community Support Leader and is feeling positive about her progression with Thera.
