Better Lives

In some parts of the country you might be able to take part in an exciting new Thera project called Better Lives.

We set up Better Lives because we believe you should have choice and control over what you do during the day. In this project you can get help to make decisions about what you want to do with your time.

The project started in Thera East Anglia but will soon be available in other places. If you take part you will work alongside your staff member to explore all of the options available to you.

People who have been in the project have done things like joining a community choir, doing a craft course, getting a qualification at college and getting a job.  You will have your own ideas but we can help you do anything else you are interested in.

You and your staff member will use our new Better Lives workbook. It will help you to say what you want to do and tell us what support you need to achieve your goals.

Donna loves shredding paper which she used to do occasionally at The Meeting Place, in Peterborough. She wanted to do something useful with the shredded paper and, using the Better Lives workbook, she decided to take it to a local farm to use as animal bedding.
