Thera South West welcomes new Managing Director

We are delighted to welcome Jacqui Chidgey-Clark as the new Managing Director for Thera South West.

I want to say welcome on behalf of Thera South West to Jacqui. We are pleased to have you as our Managing Director. Jacqui joined Thera South West in December 2017 as the Managing Director. She qualified as a nurse in 1984, having studied at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, after her first role as a care assistant working with people with a learning disability.

Jacqui held several clinical roles in Bristol and the RUH in Bath before taking up her first General Management role in Wiltshire.

She then moved to Somerset Coast Primary Commissioning Group (PCG) to work in an emerging PCG in a commissioning and professional lead role, which led her to North Devon Primary Care Trust (PCT) where she became the Director of Nursing and Director of Clinical Services. Subsequently Jacqui worked for a national charity and as a Director in Social Care.

For the following three years Jacqui worked as an independent consultant, working across health and social care leading on governance, patient safety and performance. She was also the Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Wiltshire CCG and most recently Director of Nursing and Quality at North Somerset CCG.

Jacqui holds a number of professional qualifications including an MSc in Healthcare Management and the Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.

Jacqui is passionate about making a difference for people. Coming back to working directly in the area of learning disability, where her caring career started, fulfills a long held desire to provide the best support possible to support people to be the best they can be.
