Dosh is an independent company in the Thera Group.

We believe that everyone should have personalised support to use their money in the way that they want and for the things they enjoy. Money can be a difficult thing for anyone to manage, but when you have a learning disability there are additional challenges. For example, around understanding financial decisions or contracts, keeping your money safe, paying bills or managing your benefits.

Dosh is here to give people the information and support they need to have as much independence and control as possible over their money.

Dosh can support you with:

  • Financial Advocacy
  • Appointeship for benefits
  • Account Management
  • Money Checks

We can also give guidance and information (although we cannot manage these directly as appointees) on:

  • Banking and opening a bank account
  • Support to access different grants and schemes, including Motability

You can use our helpful Money Plan game to help you budget or find further support & information on our resources page.

Dosh also delivers money awareness training, workshops and presentations across England, Scotland and Wales to many different people including people with a learning disability, families, social workers and support staff.

They may also need support with some aspects of their money, and so their experience of money and what it means to them may be different to others.
