Hello! We are Thera Trust. We’re a national charity working towards a more inclusive society, where people with learning disabilities are empowered to lead and live great lives.

We were set up in 1998 to support people with learning disabilities to move on from institutional care into a home of their own. Our founding belief was that people with learning disabilities can be leaders in society, and this belief continues to be practised at every level of our organisation, from how we lead to how we engage with the people we work with.

Alongside our lived experience leadership approach, we have developed a solid reputation for providing high quality, person first support that promotes choice and independence.

We currently support over 3,000 people with learning disabilities, with each person receiving support tailored to their needs and aspirations.

Some of the support we can offer includes supported living, community support, short breaks, employment and training, community projects and financial advocacy (money, banking and benefits).
