Service Qualty Director Sam Avery is taking part in a skydive to raise money for Thera South West which will go towards their annual summer fun day. Every year, Thera South West organises a fun day that brings together the individuals we support. This special day has been a cornerstone in the Thera South West calendar for years and allows people to socialise, engage in meaningful activities, and strengthen bonds with family and friends. It is a celebration of community and inclusion that fosters lasting memories amongst all who attend. The money raised by Sam will go towards this day and ensure the people supported have the best day possible.

The jump has been generously funded by Thera South West’s board member Graham and will take place on Friday 12 September at 10am at Dunkeswell Aerodrome and is being done through Skydive Buzz. Sam will be taking part in a tandem jump from 15,000 feet. She spoke about how she is feeling about this recently:

I am feeling nervous and excited at the same time, this will be the first time that I have ever set foot in a plane and it will be to jump out of it. It is for a good cause, so I am really hoping that we can raise the funds needed so that the people we support can benefit from their annual fun day.

They are attempting to raise £2,000 through the jump and are already well on their way to the target amount. Any amount helps however and will ensure the people supported by Thera South West will get to enjoy their summer fun day.
