Bill to step down as Chairman

Posted 23/08/2018

Thera Group Chairman Bill Carter will leave the organisation this year (2018).

We are sorry to announce that Bill Carter, Thera Group’s Chairman, will be leaving the organisation later this year.

Bill has been associated with various roles within Thera since it started, latterly as Chairman, a role which he has held since 2009, after joining the board in 2004. Bill has seen Thera change, from supporting around 500 people as a single company to guiding its development as a Group, now supporting almost 3,000 people with a turnover approaching £70 m.

Bill’s calm approach and wise guidance are known by all who have come into contact with him. In addition to leadership of the Thera Trust Board of Trustees, Bill has led our Chairmen’s forum and Nominations Committee, dealing with the substantial challenge of recruiting to an ever-growing demand for non-executive directors on our company boards.

We are now seeking a new Chairman to lead the Group in its next phase of development.
