Gig Buddies’ Samuel Maggs To Sit On Accessibility Panel

Posted 21/01/2021

Sam will be moderating an accessibility panel with the Independent Venue Week to discuss the need for accessibility at live music venues.

Samuel Maggs, Gig Buddies Project Manager, will be moderating a special accessibility panel with other Gig Buddies members! This will be in partnership with Independent Venue Week, discussing the need for accessibility at live music venues.

Many people are unable to get out to gigs and enjoy live music at the moment. However, even outside of lockdown, access can be a large factor influencing people’s nights out.

Music-lovers need to know they can access the venue and venues need to know the needs of their audience. Spaces need to be able to accommodate as many people as possible! Therefore, Independent Venue Week’s ‘Access All Areas Panel’ will discuss what it means for a venue to be accessible for players and punters alike!

The accessibility panel will take place on Thursday 28 January at 8pm and will be live streamed on Sneaky Pete’s Facebook page, one of Gig Buddies partner venues.
