New greenhouse built in Thera East Midlands

Thera East Midlands' share their experience of using their new greenhouse in Boston, purchased using a grant awarded by Lincolnshire County Council.

tem greenhouseIn December 2020, Thera East Midlands received a grant from the Lincolnshire County Council COVID-19 Community Response Fund. Managed by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation, the grant has allowed the people we support in Boston to expand their range of activities during the winter months. The team decided to purchase a greenhouse, potting bench and seed trays for support during the day in Boston.

The greenhouse is now in place and planting has begun!

tem greenhouseNick, who we support in Boston, has been busy planting chillies, in addition to onions, cucumbers, garlic, parsnips and carrots. People supported have also planted some flowers ready for Spring.

Both staff and people supported have been really enjoying getting stuck in. Even those who haven’t been able to get inside the greenhouse yet, have planted cress and winter pansies outside. There is even talk of installing a vegetable patch later on in the year – watch this space!

Well done to everyone at Boston, we can’t wait to see the fruits of your labour!
