Staff from Thera East Midlands were recognised on Monday the 26th of July at the Great British Care Awards for the East Midlands region, held in Nottingham. The awards are designed to celebrate excellence in the care industry and take place each year on both regional and national levels.
Each nominee for the awards discussed their stories with the Judges, who then decided the winner. The Judges were particularly impressed with Thera staff’s dedication to the people they were supporting, including their work with one specific lady.
Judges from the Great British Care Awards said:
This team clearly live and breathe for their residents and have formed a family unit which makes the end-of-life experience more important… this team were a true stand out and worthy winners of the palliative care award.
The team are now put forward for the national awards where they will compete with each of the other regional winners.
