After the success of their Fun Day in September 2019 at Powderham Castle, there were plans to make it an annual event. However, the Fun Days could not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Thera South West asked the people they support, staff and Company Members what they would like to do at the fun day and plans were formed.
And so, for the first time in three years, Thera South West finally met for a much-
desired Fun Day! The day was jam packed with activities such as karaoke, music and even a petting zoo.
The people supported had a great time singing with their friends and playing the drums. They enjoyed time at the petting zoo and loved seeing the pigs, goats and pony that was brought along for them to meet and cuddle.
I liked the fun day, it was great seeing everyone.
It was a warm, sunny day, and even though everyone was busy having fun and socialising, they all stayed cool with free drinks and ice-cream that was handed out.
From the feedback they have received, the day went down a treat! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time spent together and are looking forward to being able to meet up and socialise again in the future.
