Members of Thera staff received the Oxford vaccine in Ely.

Some staff members from Thera have received their first COVID-19 vaccines!

Justin Smith and David Bradshaw, staff members in Thera East Anglia wanted to share their experiences of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Justin and David received their Oxford vaccine in Ely, Cambridgeshire on Friday 8 January. St Mary’s Surgery arranged a venue in order to vaccinate David, Justin and other Thera staff.

David was the first person in the whole of Cambridgeshire to receive the Oxford vaccine, which he was very excited about. Around 50 Thera East Anglia staff members were vaccinated that day, making great start in protecting our staff.

David organised the vaccination of staff in Thera East Anglia with their local GP and did this with great efficiency. Justin Smith shared:

Everything was made safe – we socially distanced on arrival and wore our mandatory face masks. The GP and nurses were really friendly, and following some paperwork organised by another Community Support Leader, Nina, the vaccination was administered. I felt a tiny sting and that’s all! It was quick and painless. It was a relief to get it all done and dusted!
