Roles within our operational teams
There are many roles within our Thera Group as a whole and many roles within our operational teams. The roles listed below are the main roles within our support companies which operate across the country.
Support Manager
Our Support Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of multiple staff teams within a specific area. They work alongside the people they support to design and implement their support plans and ensure that the standard of support being delivered is the highest possible quality. They lead, develop, and coach their teams in the ways of best practice and ensure that our delivery is in line with regulations as well as in keeping with Thera’s vision of high-quality support.
Deputy Support Manager
Our Deputy Support Managers work alongside our Support Managers in ensuring best practice amongst their staff teams. They assist in the day-to-day management of staff teams as well as with the regular monitoring and auditing of support to ensure it is in line with Thera’s vision. As well as this our Deputy Support Managers spend a portion of their time on rota and delivering high quality support. This ensures they have a consistent understanding of the needs of the people we support and are able to guide and mentor staff on a hands-on basis.
Practice Leaders
Practice Leaders are a vital part of our team and our determination to upskill our support staff and ensure they have the specialist knowledge, skills, and mindset to provide top tier, person centred support and develop within the social care space. Their primary responsibility is to mentor, coach our Support Workers in best practice approaches, and ensure the delivery of exceptional support within their own areas of expertise.
Our Practice Leaders are role models, leading by example and supporting people with unique individual situations in a tailored way to ensure they have the dignity and freedom to live the lives they choose.
Support Workers
Support Workers are an essential part of our team, and get to know and understand what makes each person unique: their needs, likes, dislikes, passions, and personalities, to offer truly personalised support.
They work with the people they support, their families and other professionals to design support which meets the person’s individual needs and wishes. This includes encouraging people to increase their choice and control within their lives, supporting them through a person-centred approach which maximises community inclusion and participation.
