Adult Learning Courses in Camden

Over the next few months, Unity Works are running Adult Community Learning courses for people with a learning disability living in Camden.

Do you have learning disability and are you interested in learning how to look after your money or looking to develop your job seeking skills? Over the next few months, we are running the following courses:

Confidence in the Community

  • Feel safe and confident in the local community
  • Understand bus, tube, overground routes
  • Learn how to plan and prepare for travel and what to do if you get lost!
  • Find new places to visit

Starting Friday 17th February, 1pm – 4pm, at the Greenwood Centre

 

Art for Wellbeing

  • Express your creative side at our art workshops

Wednesday 15th February 10am – 12.30pm, at the Greenwood Centre

Thursday 16th February 1pm – 3.30pm, at the Greenwood Centre

 

Living My Best Life

  • Discuss and learn about looking after you
  • Learn skills for independent living
  • Better understand how to manage your Health and Wellbeing, attitudes to Body Image and Personal Hygiene and relationships

Tuesday 15th March, Wednesday 16th March and Thursday 17th March, 11am -1pm, at the Greenwood Centre

 

Living My Best Life

  • Managing Health & Wellbeing
  • Attitudes to Body Image and Personal Hygiene
  • Making Friends and understanding personal boundaries
  • Travelling and Staying Safe
  • Connecting with others Online

Starting Monday 13th February 9.30am – 1pm, at the Greenwood Centre

 

Staying Well Hearts & Bodies

  • Discuss and learn about looking after your physical health and nutrition
  • Discover what has a positive or negative impact on your body
  • Explore new ways and where to get active
  • Feel confident in looking after your body

Tuesday 21st March; Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th March, 11am-1pm, at the Greenwood Centre.
