Chris walks 630 miles for the holiday support fund!

Posted 05/06/2017

Chris Rheinberg, Chair of the Thera East Anglia board, is walking 630 miles during May and June. He is raising money for our holiday support fund.

Chris will be walking the South West Coast Path which is 630 miles with ups and downs, apparently equivalent to scaling Everest 4 times, in May and June. He is currently half way and making fantastic progress.

Chris has already smashed his £1,000 target but hopes to raise as much as he can. Good luck, Chris!

People with a learning disability want to enjoy a holiday just like everybody else. Many people who receive regular support in their daily lives will also require that same support on holiday.

This means that they have to pay for their support worker to accompany them on holiday. This makes it very expensive and many people end up not going on holiday.

The holiday support fund pays for a support worker to accompany someone on their holiday, so they can enjoy their break and not have to worry about extra costs.
