COVID-19 restrictions ease in England

Some lockdown restrictions have eased in England.

On Monday 29 March the whole of England went into the next phase of Step 1, with some of the restrictions being eased.

You can now meet up with up to 6 people (rule of six) or 2 household outdoors. Indoor gatherings are still not allowed.

Outdoor sport and leisure facilities are now open, with some organised sport allowed.

If the Government and scientists agree then England is due to move to Step 2 on Monday 12 April.
