Posted 08/01/2018

We are delighted to welcome Craig Sutherland as Managing Director for Thera North. Craig joined the senior management team in December 2017.

Craig SutherlandCraig is passionate about empowering people to have an ordinary life. He believes people with a learning disability should be in control of how and where they live and the support that they receive. He also recognises that our staff teams are integral to making this happen.

Craig started his career as a support worker in 2002, working for Autism Plus – a specialist autism charity in Yorkshire. He helped the charity grow and support many more people across the county in his role and later moved into the position of Director of Development, after roles leading in operations and person centred planning.

In 2015 he moved to Leonard Cheshire Disability as Head of Operations and was responsible for a range of services from supported living, day support, residential homes and nursing homes across the Northwest and Midlands.

Craig said: “I am very lucky to be joining such a great organisation that is so full of potential. I am really looking forward to working with the team to meet the challenges that we will face in the coming years so that we can continue to provide the excellent support that our teams do on a daily basis.”

Andrew Bright, Service Quality Director for Thera North said: “I would like to give a warm welcome to Craig Sutherland to Thera North as our new Managing Director. I very much look forward to working with him to continue fulfilling the Thera Vision in the North.”
