Preparing for the 2023 Edinburgh Kiltwalk!

Posted 25/07/2023

Following on from the successful Glasgow Kiltwalk in spring, it is time to prepare for the Edinburgh Kiltwalk.

On Monday 3 April 2023, The Glasgow Kiltwalk raised 3 million pounds for 685 Scottish charities –  with the Hunter Foundation donating an extra 50p for every £1.

Equal Futures was one of the many beneficiaries from this fundraising, with funds supporting people with a learning disability to achieve their goals in Circles of Support and Befriending programmes.

With this incredible effort in mind, Equal Futures are now looking for people to slip on comfy shoes, wear their favourite tartans, and take part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on Sunday 17 September!

Equal Futures are delighted to announce that they can fund the entry of some people – they will give these funded spaces to the first people who ask that can commit to coming, so please let them know as soon as possible if you are interested.

Teams from Equal Futures usually do ‘The Wee Wander’ , an almost 5-mile walk which they find to be the most accessible for most people.

If you wish for more of a challenge, Equal Futures can help you sign up for ‘The Big Stroll’ or ‘The Mighty Stride’.

You can find out more information at www.thekiltwalk.co.uk.
