News: equal futures

Equal Futures, with funding from the Scottish Government, are delivering circles of support workshops across Scotland.

Gig Buddies and Equal Futures, both part of the Thera Group, are delighted to announce they are taking part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk this year and are looking for people they support, members, supporters and families to join them!

Equal Futures took part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk on the 30 April 2023 and have raised an incredible £1,135!

Funding from the Scottish Government, processed by Volunteer Midlothian, will enable Equal Futures to improve the mental wellbeing of people with a learning disability and their families whose mental health and wellbeing have been affected by the pandemic.

The £9,620 funding will enable more people with a learning disability or autism to access Equal Futures’ support in Glasgow.

Equal Futures have received a grant of £9,785 from the Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council (EVOC) as part of their Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.

Equal Futures has received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue its work in supporting people with a learning disability and/or autism and their families in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Equal Futures is one of six organisations that have been shortlisted for the Self Management in the Community award, as part of the Self Management Awards 2022.
