Thera retains Skills for Care endorsed provider status

Posted 28/04/2022

Thera has retained its Skills for Care endorsed provider status for a second year. This is a bespoke quality mark given to the best learning and development providers within the adult social care sector.

Thera’s Learning and Development team have been working very hard to provide the best possible training. Excellent training has a positive impact not only on staff, but also on the people Thera supports.

They have reviewed their current training to improve training standards. This includes introducing a new evaluation form intended for remote learners. The team also looked at their learning plan to make it more user friendly. This helps them become better equipped for the level of support they can offer to people.

As an endorsed provider, the Learning and Development team can access Skills for Care trainer licences. This means the team can teach certain courses, like ‘Lead to Succeed’ and ‘Well Led’. This is fantastic news, as staff will have access to a wider range of training that will support them in their role.

The team have also been able to access extra funding as a result of delivering more bespoke training. This includes funding for 9 new PROACT-SCIP-UK® instructors.

Being endorsed for a second year is a fantastic achievement! A huge thank you to the Learning and Development team for their commitment to delivering the very best training.
