A new 16-week wellbeing programme will shortly be launching for people with a learning disability based in Camden and Havering.

We are excited to announce the launch of a 16-week wellbeing programme for people with a learning disability who live in Camden, Islington and Havering. This programme includes wellbeing workshops with peers as well as dedicated health and wellbeing coaching, designed to help individuals stay healthy, build relationships and grow confidence and independence while progressing on their pathway to work.

What’s included in the 16-week course

The wellbeing programme will focus on:

  • Health and Wellbeing Management: Practical tools to help individuals manage their mental health.
  • Employment Support: Guidance on building the skills and confidence necessary for entering the workforce.

Individuals will meet in a group setting to:

  • Improve emotional and physical wellbeing
  • Develop networks and reduce isolation
  • Encourage independence and self-awareness
  • Help participants identify and take practical steps towards personal goals
  • Prepare individuals for employment, training, or volunteering opportunities

Participants will also benefit from 1:1 health and wellbeing coaching to further explore their needs, ensuring they are empowered on their journey to work.

This programme has kindly been funded by The North Central East London CAMHS Provider Collaborative 2024/25 Grant Scheme.
