Meet the senior management team for our North region.

Craig Sutherland

Managing Director

Craig joined Thera in 2017 as Managing Director. Craig is passionate about inclusion and ensuring that everyone we support can lead their own life. Together with the team, Craig ensures that we always keep the people we support at the heart of what we do and enjoys advocating on their behalf to make sure that support is person centred. Craig started his career in 2002 as a Support Worker and still finds spending time with people we support and support workers the most important part of helping him to the lead the North region.

Andrew Bright

Service Quality Director

Andrew is passionate about everyone having the same opportunities in life and is looking forward to helping people supported by Thera North to lead meaningful lives. He has many years of experience and uses this in his work, when visiting the people we support in the North Region.

Karen Harris

Executive Assistant

Karen is Executive Assistant to the Service Quality Director. Karen is a fantastic enabler and a skilled graphic facilitator with years of experience working together with people with a learning disability. Karen supports the Service Quality Director to do a great job as well as contributing her own ideas to our work.

Laura Booton

Personal Assistant

Laura is the PA to Thera Trust North Region. Her work consists of a wide range of administrative and coordination duties. She helps organise, prepare and report on internal and external meetings that are important to the North Region. She also helps plan, manage and implement events for staff and people we support.

Bronwyn Burgess

Operational Manager

Bronwyn is the Operational Manager for the North East and is responsible for ensuring we deliver great outcomes for people.
Bronwyn was born and bred in South Africa and came to the UK in 2004, where she started her career in health and social care – and has never looked back! Bronwyn has progressed over the years, including being a non-driving Support Worker, a Trustee Director and a Regional Quality and Compliance Manager. She has a vast amount of knowledge and experience and is passionate about working with people. She is eager to work directly with people and support them to be the best they can be.

Ben Nicholson

Operational Manager

Ben has worked for Thera for over 10 years starting as a Support Worker and working his way up to Operational Manager. He feels proud to have joined the people we support on their journeys into living more independently and having control of their lives. He finds his role incredibly rewarding as we know that being the best at what we do is still not good enough and so we are always looking for new ideas, activities and projects to help supported people to achieve, succeed and make a positive impact on their communities. He is excited to continue this journey as more and more people join us along the way.
