The board, along with the Managing Director and Service Quality Director, prepare Thera (Scotland) for the future whilst ensuring the quality of what we do.

Suzanne Langford-Commins

Managing Director

Suzanne joined Thera in September 2019. She has worked in social care for over 20 years and has experience which includes change management, project development, campaigns and much more. She is also a trustee of a small Learning Disability charity in her spare time. Suzanne has four children and four dogs. Her passions include equal citizenship and ensuring people can live their very best lives.

Jordan Allan

Service Quality Director

Jordan joined Thera (Scotland) in May 2020. He has worked in the charity sector over the past 7 years and has experience evaluating the support people with a learning disability receive at home and in work. Jordan is passionate about everyone having the same opportunities in life and is looking forward to helping people supported by Thera (Scotland) to lead meaningful lives.

Morag Armstrong

Non-Executive Director

Morag was a member of the Children’s Panel until her recent appointment to the Safeguarder’s Panel. She has been the Welfare Guardian of her brother for over 10 years and has a particular insight into the challenges faced by people with a learning disability. Morag has practised law for over 25 years, as a Solicitor, an Advocate at the Scottish Bar and a Legal Consultant, with clients in the private, public and charitable sectors.

Ian Richards

Non-Executive Director

Ian comes from a business background in the food manufacturing, hospitality and leisure sectors. Over the last 25 years he has served on the Boards of private sector companies, public sector organisations and charities. Ian firmly believes we all have the right to be the best that we can be and to pursue our dreams. In joining the Board his ambition is to work with the Thera team to help the organisation and its members develop, improve and fulfil their potential.

Glenn Tunstall

Chairperson

Glenn served for 30 years as a Police Officer in the Metropolitan Police, retiring as a Chief Superintendent in 2017. Following his retirement, Glenn moved to Scotland and founded Merida Consulting, where he specialises in helping organisations with employee engagement and leadership development. His ambition whilst on the board is to make a difference to the lives of the people that are supported by Thera.

Frankee Fouin

Non-Executive Director

Frankee has been working in social care since 2014. Previously working directly alongside people with a learning disability and autism, and now as a qualified counsellor running a self-harm support service in Edinburgh. Frankee uses her lived experience of autism and her open-mindedness to inform how she works alongside others. Frankee hopes to continue providing a fresh perspective and to continue learning alongside others during her time on the board for Thera (Scotland).

Katie Winn

Non-Executive Director

Katie is passionate about making sure people with a learning disability live good lives, believing we should all strive to get the very best outcomes for people by thinking outside the box and challenging the norm.

Katie’s professional experience includes HR, company operations, and development projects, including 6 years as Thera’s Head of Development, an equal leadership role which combines the skills and knowledge of a business development professional with the lived experience of someone with a learning disability.

Now Group Executive Director – Development and Innovation at Thera, Katie’s day to day role oversees the development of innovative support solutions for people with a learning disability, ensuring people have choice and control over their own lives.

Rachel Killick

Non-Executive Director

Following a graduate management placement with Thera in 2011, Rachel has been working in various health and social care settings to increase the control that people have over their lives. Now she wants to play her part in supporting Thera (Scotland) to help people live the lives they want, in a way which is true to their Vision.

Myrsini Alexandratou

Non-Executive Director

Myrsini is a Strategy and Technology Leader with a strong track record of driving organisational transformation and delivering innovative, impactful outcomes. Currently Head of Strategy and Innovation at Royal London, Myrsini has held senior roles at NatWest Group and EY, specialising in leveraging technology, including generative AI and climate strategies, to address complex challenges.

A passionate advocate for diversity and collaboration, Myrsini has inspired teams and stakeholders to achieve ambitious goals, including cost savings, improved productivity, and sustainability initiatives. With advanced degrees in computer science and information systems, professional certifications, and a global perspective, Myrsini combines technical expertise with empathetic leadership.

Beyond work, Myrsini has served on the board of women in banking and finance and founded the Orama Greek Professional Network, showcasing a commitment to community and mentorship.
