New rules in Scotland to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

On Monday (14th September) new rules came into force in Scotland to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

  • The size of groups which can meet in homes, gardens, pubs or restaurants in Scotland has been cut to six people from two households.
  • If you’re not exempt, wear a face mask indoors in places where social distancing is difficult like shops, public transport, cinemas and museums. You can take them off when eating and drinking.
  • You should continue to keep a 2-metre distance between others.

There are tighter rules in Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, which have seen cases rise sharply.

The Scottish Government asks people to download its contact tracing app – Protect Scotland – which you can get here: https://protect.scot/
