New coronavirus rules in Scotland

Posted 30/10/2020

The Scottish Government has announced new rules in Scotland which will start on Monday 2 November.

In some parts of Scotland, more people have been getting coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Scottish Government have created a local Protection Level system which tells you what you can and can’t do in your local area.

The COVID-19 local Protection Levels are:

  • Level 0
  • Level 1
  • Level 2
  • Level 3
  • Level 4

The 0-4 level system will help you to understand and prepare for rules that might be introduced, as well as letting you know how and when they may be lifted.

We have created some Easy Read guidance about each protection level. If you are a person we support in Scotland you will get a copy of guidance for the Level you are in over the coming days.
