Following an invitation Sam Avery and Corrina Turner attended the Wiltshire Parent and Carers Council’s Information Event on the 7th February in Trowbridge.

Sam and Corrina were able to provide information to children and parents about what sort of support options could be available for them once they transition from child to adult services.

It was also a valuable opportunity to network with other organisations that may have offers that benefit the people we support.

Sam said:

It was a very busy event which was good to see. We were able to network with other organisations and speak to people about how their services could help the people we support. We were also able to speak with parents and carers about how their children can be supported when they turn 18.

Corrina said:

If I were a parent in that situation my biggest worry would be what would happen as they got older. It was good to be able to provide some knowledge.
