Short Breaks

The East Anglia region can provide short breaks (also known as respite) for people with learning disabilities in Norfolk and Norwich.

We have two building based short breaks at Willowdene and Oaklands. Willowdene is in Tunstead, a small village in Norfolk, and Oaklands is in Alpington, near Norwich. We offer overnight stays with waking or sleep in staff as required and transport can be provided.

Short breaks allow you to have a break and do the things you enjoy with support from other people. Short breaks also allow your family carers to do the things they need to do too, such as getting back into paid employment.

At Oaklands, we can also come to you at home and at Willowdene, we offer day support to help you explore your interests and do the things you want to do!

Quote graphic with the quote: We are really happy we found Oaklands, we know our daughter is happy and so well looked after all the time. We can’t thank you enough, it sort of makes you realise as a mum that other people can care for your child. Which makes you feel more secure about the future.
