Funding from the Scottish Government, processed by Volunteer Midlothian, will enable Equal Futures to improve the mental wellbeing of people with a learning disability and their families whose mental health and wellbeing have been affected by the pandemic.

Thera East Midlands says a sad farewell to Yvonne and Glenda, who both started their social care careers in the 1980s before joining Thera in 2000, as they start their well-earned retirements.

Equal Futures has received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue its work in supporting people with a learning disability and/or autism and their families in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Carolyn, staff member in Thera South West, decided to open the Shine Friendship Café at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic to bring people back together.

The organisations have collaborated to create resources to help people to get to know what is normal for their bodies.

The £60,000 funding from the Self-Management Fund will enable Equal Futures to support people with a learning disability in North Lanarkshire.
