News: Gig Buddies

Gig Buddies West Lothian has been getting people with a learning disability out to local gigs, and beyond, for over three years. We have 35 members and a team of local volunteers.

As Gig Buddies with Thera Trust members are still unable to meet, Gig Buddies Scotland continues to provide activities and online events throughout October and November.

Thera (Scotland) is proud to announce Gig Buddies Scotland will launch a new project in Glasgow in September 2019, with support from The National Lottery Community Fund.

Josh Barton is the director of Upward Mobility, an Edinburgh charity offering a curriculum of creative workshops and vocational programmes to people with a learning disability. Here, Josh talks about what Gig Buddies means to Upward Mobility.
