By volunteering with Thera, you can support people with a learning disability by enriching their lives. Our volunteers bring their unique skills and life experiences which mean that everyone is able to contribute to our vision and to be an important part of the lives of the people Thera supports.
Where Can I volunteer with Thera?
We currently have exciting volunteering opportunities with Equal Futures, Unity Works and Gig Buddies with Thera Trust.
Equal Futures
Equal Futures is based in Scotland, and offer volunteering opportunities in Greater Glasgow, Ayrshire, and Edinburgh.
Volunteers are vital in enabling the work Equal Futures do to support people with a Learning Disability.

Gig Buddies
Gig Buddies with Thera Trust is a project that aims to support people with a learning disability in Scotland to attend music, comedy, or other events. When you become a Gig Buddies volunteer, you are paired with someone with the same interests as you. You and your buddy will attend gigs and you’ll support them to be involved in something you both love!

What do I get out of Volunteering with Thera?
Volunteering not only gives you the opportunity to help people supported by Thera Group to reach their full potential, but you also develop further skills and experience.
Some of our volunteers have used their experiences with us to support their careers in a Social Worker, Registered Nursing and Psychology roles. And some of our volunteers simply enjoy supporting people with a learning disability reach their aims and dreams.
