Ceri has worked most of her career in Health and Social Care – for more years than she would care to remember!
Ceri started her career as a secondary school teacher and then became a Music Therapist, working with children and young adults with a learning disability, autism and communication difficulties. She then worked for a supported living organisation for 15 years, including in Learning and Development and HR, and later became their HR Director.
In 2017, Ceri went to work in the NHS as Director of People and Innovation. She led partnerships across Health and Social Care organisations in Lincolnshire during the Covid-19 pandemic as it was important that those who worked in these roles were supported during difficult times.
Ceri joined Thera in October 2023; she is delighted to be back in social care and feels like she has ‘come home’.
She is passionate about making sure we have the right staff, thriving in the right roles to empower people they support. Her mantra is ‘if we get it right for our staff, we will get it right for those we support’.
